Top Ten All Time Favorite Authors (13)

Tuesday, April 21, 2015

Top Ten Tuesday is a feature hosted by The Broke and the Bookish

This week topic is all time favorite authors. It's pretty hard for me since there's so many authors that I like (basically if I like the book, I like the author). Anyway, I manage to list write down the top ten, and here it is!

1. Rick Riordan
I think you all can expect this. I love the Percy Jackson series, the Heroes of Olympus, the Kane Chronicles and his other books! And, of course, I love his wit and humor, aaand basically everything.

2. Kasie West
Kasie West became my favorite author when I read The Distance Between Us, and so far, it's my favorite contemporary books.  I love how she write cute and adorable romance in her books!

3. Marie Lu
I love the Legend trilogy by her, especially the writing style. It's pretty similar with Riordan's--that kind of writing style that made me hard to stop reading because every chapter always end with a cliffhanger.

4. Cassandra Clare
I haven't read TMI yet, but I love The Infernal Devices! Cassie is really good in making an interesting plot, romance, friendship and hot boy.

5. Tahereh Mafi
I actually just read Shatter Me a month ago, but I she's immediately became my favorite author because of her unique writing style! You really should check out her books.

6. J.K. Rowling
I think most of you will write her name too. Harry Potter is my very first favorite book, so Rowling deserve a place in this list. If she didn't write it, I wouldn't like reading as much as I do now.

7. Jennifer E. Smith
I only read two of her books, and even though I only rate it around 3, it's pretty addictive (not sure why, maybe because of her writing style). I really want to read her latest book, The Geography of You and Me.

8. Morgan Matson
I actually only read Second Chance Summer, but that book is really beautiful. Not just it has an great family stories, but also it made me thinking about my family.

9. Rainbow Rowell
I absolutely adore Fangirl! It's pretty unique, since basically it's about us fangirls. And the characters are adorable too!

10. Stephanie Perkins
She is also became my favorite after I read Anna and the French Kiss. I love the way she write it, and of course, the setting!

So that's my top ten! What about you?

  3. Great list!
Rick Riordan is probably my all-time favorite, too.
It's really nice to see Kasie West on your list. I've read On The Fence, and adored it. I wan't expecting to be blown away, however, it really surprised me. It's one of my all-time favorite contemporary novels. Something about it....I just fell in love. I agree with Morgan Matson, too. Her books are beautiful. You should read Since You've Been Gone - it was incredible.

  9. Absolutely agree with J.K. Rowling. I have read her Harry Potter series only last year but I still haven't seen anything else like it in complexity, character development, world-building and plot. J.K. Rowling's the only queen! Whee!

    1. I agree, her books are pretty unique! (though I probably have to reread them since I forgot many things) I guess that's the reason her books became very succesful.

  10. I'm surprised that I've read from all these authors already. That rarely happens when I read Top Ten Tuesday posts. ;) Here are the authors I totally agree with you for adding here:
    1. RICK RIORDAN, YES! <3 He's one of my all-time favorite authors too. The Percy Jackson series has a very special place in my heart.
    2. I've read all of Kasie's published books so far and I've loved all of them. :) Pivot Point's my favorite!
    3. I don't think Marie's writing is similar to Rick's, but I adore her as well. The Legend trilogy was gorgeous!
    8. I read Second Chance Summer and Amy & Roger's Epic Detour (which you should check out because it was the cutest thing ever) and loved them both!
    10. I loved both Anna and Lola! Plus I've met Stephanie in real life and she was just the sweetest. <3
