Monthly Recap : January

Sunday, January 31, 2016

So, this month, I'm back at school on the fifth day of January. It's okay, I suppose, though I'm a bit stressful because I had many assignments and tests. Thankfully, it's already passed, and now I could read books again!

On a brighter side, I (finally) won 2 giveaways! The first is actually last month (on Christmas day! I'm so thrilled when I receive the email), from Dre @ Sporadic Reads, and the second is an ARC of Riders from author Virginia Boecker (!!!). Unfortunately, both books haven't arrived until now, but that's normal since it took at least 1 month for a book to arrive here. Photos coming soon.

I didn't post often this month, but in case you missed it :

I didn't read many books this month, but at least I'm still ahead of my Goodreads challenge!

Books Read :

The Rose Society by Marie Lu : It's much, much darker than the first one! I definitely like it better - 4 stars

Until Friday Night by Abbi Glines : I was looking forward to read this because it sounds beautiful and all, but sadly it's disappointing - 2 stars

The Heir by Kiera Cass : I didn't actually plan to read this one, but turns out it's better than I've expected! I think I will read the sequel - 3 stars

My True Love Gave to Me, curated by Stephanie Perkins : This is the very first anthology that I read, and let's just say that I'm looking forward to read her next anthology! - 3 stars

Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo : I didn't expect to like this one, but so glad I did - 4 stars

Claire @ Cover to Cover talks about Grey Characters
Cait @ Paper Fury writes about lies that bookworms tell to themselves
Shannon @ It Starts at Midnight ask about numerical ratings
Alexandra @ Twirling Pages wonder whether you could make money from book blogging

Tell me, how's your January? Did you get anything exciting this month? Or did you have many tests just like me?

  3. Hey, I have Shadow and Bone and I wanted to read it next but my series is not complete so I might do it later then. Great month you have for your blog. :)

    1. Well, a complete series is always better than an uncomplete one, right? ;) Thanks Yani!
