Monthly Recap : July

Friday, July 31, 2015

CAN'T BELIEVE JULY IS OVER. IT MEANS MY HOLIDAY IS OVER *cry in the corner*

So what happens with me in July? Here's my recap :

So as may or may not know, I've gone back to school since 4 days ago, but the actual lessons will started next Monday, so I kinda freaking out right now. I'm a junior now, and practically everyone (including my teacher and the smartest student from my class) say that junior year is the hardest. Judging from the textbooks I just got yesterday, it seems true *cry harder*

That's why, I don't think I can post as often as usual. Beside the whole hardest lesson thing, I also want to participate more in the school's activities and probably joining some competition. I'll try to post at least one review per week, but no promise. If you didn't hear from me for a while, I probably busy crying over my grades.

Here's what I posted on the blog this month :

Review :

Other :
As part of the blog tour, I do an interview with O. E. Boroni

I read 6 books this month! Not as much as last month, but it's still more than my average.

What I read this month :

Dangerous Girls by Abigail Haas
The Winner's Curse by Marie Rutkoski
The Summer of Chasing Mermaids by Sarah Ockler

The Beginning of Never by O. E. Boroni
Most Likely to Succeed by Jennifer Echols
Perfect Couple by Jennifer Echols

So, how was your month?

  1. I did have a great July. ;) And you read Dangerous Girls. Yay! How was it? I loved that book.

Good luck with being a junior. I remember that it was also a fun time, even though it was a bit harder than being a sophomore. Document your days, it's fun to look back ;)

  2. Good luck with school. Junior year was the hardest year of high school for me, but senior year was a lot of fun. So, you have that to look forward to.

    1. Yes everyone say that senior year is the easiest! The hardest part of senior year is probably when we have to do the national examination but after that we don't even have to go to school :D

  3. Good luck with school! I hope you'll do well and we certainly understand if you post a bit less. I always get confused with how you US peep counts school years, as here it's just first class till sixth, so not sure when junior year is. I think our fourth year was the hardest as that was the last year you had to follow all the courses and things got more difficult.

You got a nice amount of books read this month, The Summer of Chasing mermaids so good, did you enjoy it?

  7. OMG Tiffany good luck with junior year!!! I'm sure you'll do great! I just started sophomore year last month HAHA. And like you, I'm struggling with keeping up with everything because the textbooks look so complicated ^-^" at least you read a lot of books last month. I only managed 2 books. I hope everything is fine, and that August will be AMAZINGLY AWESOME <3

  8. Good luck with school!
Onto business now... How was Dangerous Girls? I've read the first three chapters and then panicked and found something less thrilling to read (thank you, Maggie Stiefvater!)... Will it stress me out too much? I'd love to read your thoughts on it!

    1. Thanks Beth! Dangerous Girls is actually pretty awesome--I finished it in a day and a half! Unfortunately, there's some things that left unanswered, so I gave it 3 stars in the end. I don't think it'll stress you, but it definitely will blow your mind (with the ending)!

You can read my review of it here :)

  9. School here doesn't start until the end of August, but I'm already stressing about it (I'm a homeschooling mom, not a student, but it's still stressful for me too - I feel like I have so much to get ready before the new school year!). Don't worry about not posting as much - you just have to do what you can do, and the rest will fall into place!

    1. The beginning of the school year is always the hardest! We have so many things to prepare and we have to wake up early in the morning too (I really hate it)! Thanks for the advice, Nicole :)
