Seri(es)ously Need to Start These!

Tuesday, June 20, 2017

sorry for the lame title! i thought it looks cool though 😂 anyway, me being me of course have a lot of series i meant to start 235641 years ago but still haven't. since today's TTT prompt is about that, i thought i'd share it to you guys and also remind me which series i need to start asap. here they are :

The Trials of Apollo by Rick Riordan
to be honest i don't know why i haven't start these? i love rick riordan's other books (heck, i've read 15 of his books!) but one moment i was like "ohh i'm gonna buy this later" and next thing i know one year already passed and the sequel come out.

The Crown's Game by Evelyn Skye
this book got me the moment it says russia and magic, but i read a few chapters and wasn't impressed so i left it. should i continue?

Passenger by Alexandra Bracken
it's about time travel! and the cover is pretty! why haven't i pick this one yet?

A Study in Charlotte by Brittany Cavallaro
i remember feeling excited when this book come out and then proceed to forgot about it 😅 now that i've just finished sherlock and need some detective books maybe i'll start this!

Shades of Magic by V. E. Schwab
parallel londons? yes please! i've been thinking to buy this since a week ago but still trying to find a way to convince my parents

Starbound by Amie Kaufman and Meagan Spooner
these series' cover is to die for 😍 also i heard the first book has a enemies-to-lovers trope? it's basically a win-win situation

The Illuminae Files by Jay Kristoff and Amie Kaufman
i read around 70ish pages of this at my school library and instantly hooked! not sure why i stop reading or why i DIDN'T borrow it immediately but i regret it now 😂

An Ember in the Ashes by Sabaa Tahir
both of my in real life friends absolutely recommend this so i need to read it asap!

The Wrath and the Dawn by Renee Ahdieh
i've heard a lot of amazing things about this book and it sounds awesome too.

Stalking Jack the Ripper by Kerri Maniscalco
historical fiction? yes! murder mystery? double yes! i need this book now!

have you read any of these series? which one i should start asap? and leave your TTT links in the comment so i could check it out 💙

  1. Oh wow! I'm a huge fan of so many of these series. The Crown's Game, Passenger, Shades of Magic, Starbound, Illuminae Files, The Wrath and the Dawn, Stalking Jack the Ripper. Start any one. They're all fantastic! Great list!

  3. I read STALKING JACK THE RIPPER not too long ago. I didn't like it as much as I thought I would, but I will probably continue with the series at some point. No rush for me.

I haven't read any of the others, although many of them are on my miles-long TBR list. Good luck with them!

  4. ooh we have quite a bit in common! I really need to read Wayfarer, especially since I loved Passenger. I too still need to read The Rose and the Dagger and Last of August. A Torch Against the Night was even better than AEITA! I hope you get to these books soon.

  5. ILLUMINAE IS BAE (ha, such a poet). Seriously though, it's so incredible and the sequel is even better - you must try to get to it soon! :D I have reserved A Darker Shade of Magic from my library - hopefully I get it soon!

  6. Shades of Magic books are amazing! The Crown's Game takes a while to really get good. Trials of Apollo is awesome and so funny. I liked A Study In Charlotte but I've read better detective stories. The rest, most are actually on my TBR as well!

  7. The Wrath and the Dawn was my favorite read last year. I like Darker Shade, but not like in love with it or anything. I still need to read the other 2 books though :D Trials of Apollo is amazing! I definitely loved it more than HoO. I also need to start with Stalking Jack the Ripper, I've heard amazing things about it.
