Authors I Wish I Could Meet

Tuesday, March 28, 2017
originally created by the Broke and the Bookish

One thing that sucks being an international bloggers is how hard is it to meet your favorite authors. Authors never come to my country (and other Asian country, except Philippines, perhaps), and I, as a 17 years old student, definitely can't just come to US like that. That's why, so far, all I can do is stare through my computer with burning jealousy at those who's lucky enough to meet their favorite authors (haha, just kidding guys. i'm happy for you). Anyway, here's 10 authors I wish I could meet someday.

1. J. K. Rowling
Okay, but who's surprised? Harry Potter is one of the books that got me into reading, so I'd definitely love to meet her!

2. Rick Riordan
Another childhood faves. Rick Riordan is by far, author whose books I read the most. I've already read like, 15 of his books and still counting.

3. Cassandra Clare
I really really love the Shadowhunters chronicles. Eventhough some people think it's getting boring and boring, I'm still excited to read them (also fun fact : apparently today is the 10th anniversary of City of Bones!)

4. Sarah J. Maas
I might be new to Maas' world, but I'm obsessed with her ACOTAR series! I start reading her books when ACOTAR came out, I can't believe it's less than 2 months till ACOWAR comes out.

5. Kasie West
She's my #1 contemporary authors. I read (nearly) all of her books, and I swear each time it's more and more adorable. Her books are so swoony 😍

6. Morgan Matson
Another contemporary faves. Her books might not be as cute as Kasie's (okay, it is, just a different kind of cute, if you get what I mean), but I love it. Each one of her books always made me think something about my life, and how I could live it to the fullest.

7. Leigh Bardugo
I might not be obsessed with her Grisha trilogy, but her Six of Crows duology is ASKDJSKJDK. Eventhough I haven't read Crooked Kingdom yet despite having it for months (blame school for that), I know it's going to broke my heart.

8. Marie Lu
I'm seriously obsessed with her Legend and The Young Elites trilogy! Both are just purely awesome, and I have a feeling Warcross will be like that too.

9. Marie Rutkoski
The Winner's trilogy is one of my favorites series of all time because her writing is magical. Seriously, it's really unique and lyrical and simply beautiful (p.s. does anyone know if she's going to write another book after The Winner's trilogy?)

10. Alison Goodman
She's pretty new-to-me authors (i discovered her books last year), and while I haven't read her Eon series, I'm pretty much obsessed with her The Dark Days Pact trilogy! It's really great and she does her research well.

Of course, there's still a lot of authors I'd like to meet in the future : Meg Cabot, Tahereh Mafi, Stephanie Perkins, Heidi Heilig, Julie Buxbaum to name a few!

Have you meet any of these authors? Who's your favorite authors you'd like to meet? Also link your TTT below so I can check it out!

  3. I hope you meet all the authors on your TTT list some day. The cool thing is that I made a TTT post a couple of years ago of all the authors I wanted to meet in person some day and I ended up meeting three of them in person within a year!! I'm hoping to meet the rest of the authors on my TTT list some point in time!

This week I choose to focus on the eleven authors I can't believe I've already met! Here's a link to my TTT post for this week: http://captivatedreader.blogspot.com/2017/03/top-ten-tuesday-ten-authors-i-cant.html
