since 2017 is coming to the end, here's a recap of books and blogging things that I do in this year, as well as my plan in the future!

1. Best Book You Read In 2017?


i know i'm cheating but honestly i can't really choose between crooked kingdom and lord of shadows!

2. Book You Were Excited About & Thought You Were Going To Love More But Didn’t?


seeing that i really really love acomaf, i definitely have high expectations for this! unfortunately, it didn't reach it.

3. Most surprising (in a good way or bad way) book you read?


the last magician surely surprise me in a good way! didn't expect to love it as much as i did.

4. Book You “Pushed” The Most People To Read (And They Did)?


technically the lost hero is a re-read, but i recommend it to my entire family and my brothers and cousin end up reading it 😁 i've never felt prouder!

5. Best series you started in 2017? Best Sequel of 2017? Best Series Ender of 2017?



best series started : a darker shade of magic
best sequel : the dark days pact
best series ender : crooked kingdom

6. Favorite new author you discovered in 2017?


words in deep blue is so beautiful that i cried while reading it. definitely gonna read other cath crowley's books!

7. Best book from a genre you don’t typically read/was out of your comfort zone?


i don't typically read adult-romance book, so taylor jenkins reid's maybe in another life is an exception.

8. Most action-packed/thrilling/unputdownable book of the year?


i'm curious about the murder of roger ackryod since everyone keep saying that this have the most unexpected twist ever, so i end up reading this in one sitting! and they're right about the twist!

9. Book You Read In 2017 That You Are Most Likely To Re-Read Next Year?





i feel like i keep saying lord of shadows, but i'll probably read it again next year before queen of air and darkness comes out.

10. Favorite cover of a book you read in 2017?



love & gelato has such a cute cover!

11. Most memorable character of 2017?



the raven boys by maggie stiefvater
i don't know why but the gangsey (aka blue, gansey, ronan, adam, and noah) kinda stuck with me. definitely gonna continue this series!

12. Most beautifully written book read in 2017?


my second most-beautifully written book (since i already explained about words in deep blue) is things i should have known by claire lazebnik, it's basically about siblings love and it's beautiful

13. Most Thought-Provoking/ Life-Changing Book of 2017?


yes, words in deep blue again

14. Book you can’t believe you waited UNTIL 2017 to finally read? 



i've actually already saw the movie years ago, but i only just read the book thief this year. definitely see why people love it so much!

15. Favorite Passage/Quote From A Book You Read In 2016?

kasie west can never do wrong! her books are all so adorable including lucky in love 💖

i don't have any intentions to read the airhead series until my friends recommend it to me. turns out it's pretty good!

it started with goodbye is a cinderella retelling that's really different from another cinderella retelling!

24. Best Worldbuilding/Most Vivid Setting You Read This Year?


i've always love percy jackson's world! (eventhough it's technically set in our world)

25. Book That Put A Smile On Your Face/Was The Most FUN To Read?


all rick riordan's books always made me laugh. i read 6 (5 of them are reread) of his books this year and they're all so funny

26. Book That Made You Cry Or Nearly Cry in 2017?


i'm sorry but i have to feature words in deep blue again because it's the only book that made me cry this year! i don't even know why i cried since it's not actually a sad book? maybe i cried because of the masterpiece that's cath crowley's writing

27. Hidden Gem Of The Year?



operation prom date is such a cute read! i don't think i see enough people talking about this though

the ending kills me, people

29. Book That Made You The Most Mad (doesn’t necessarily mean you didn’t like it)?




i'm mad at the one memory of flora banks because i really want to love it, but i can't :( the setting is wonderful, but the characters annoy me.

organizing and finding time to blog! i'm in college now and it's way busier than high school.

so many great reviews about the cruel prince!

i need to know what happens after that cruel ending of lord of shadows

I unfortunately didn't get around to reading as much as I would've liked to this year (I blame high school, haha), so it's awesome to see that you encountered such great books! I really enjoyed Crooked Kingdom, though, and I'm glad you did too! I can't believe that series is already over. I hope you have a wonderful new year!

  2. I'm SO ashamed that I haven't read Crooked Kingdom yet because I LOVED Six of Crows--but I'll get to it soon I hope. AND HOORAY FOR PUSHING RICK RIORDAN BOOKS TO PEOPLE! Percy Jackson is still definitely the series I've recommended to most people. <3 I'm really excited for The Cruel Prince and Everless as well. Have a great 2018, lovely!

I love words in the blue and lucky in love too. taylor jenkins reid's maybe in another life and the heartbreak cure sounds interesting :D operation prom date has beautiful cover but sadly I did not like this book maybe because my expectation was high in the first place. Hope you have wonderful year in 2018 Tiffany :D
