These Authors Are New to Me!

Tuesday, December 6, 2016
Top Ten Tuesday is created by the Broke and the Bookish

It's been a long time since I last doing a TTT post, so I'm pretty excited to be back! Today's theme is new to me author, and eventhough I only read, like less than 50 books this year, I've discovered a lot of new authors whose next books I can't wait to read. Here they are!

1. Leigh Bardugo

I discovered the awesomeness that is Six of Crows earlier this year, and Shadow and Bone is even my very first 2016 reads (eventhough I haven't pick up the sequel yet).

2. Victoria Aveyard

I really enjoyed this book, but somehow Glass Sword (which I skimmed through, so I don't consider reading it) disappoint me a little. Might try again later, though.

3. Heidi Heilig

If you love time travel, I suggest you read this book immediately! It was really good, and I can't wait for The Ship Beyond Time.

4. Alison Goodman

I'd recommend this book if you love The Infernal Devices! Eventhough the pacing was a bit slow, it's still interesting (also I've been told that the second book was a lot better!) (why the cover change tho)

5. Julie Buxbaum

This was a very cute read, especially if you like mysterious-penpal kind of romance!

6. Jennifer Niven

THIS BOOK BROKE ME GUYS. This might be the saddest book I read this year, and yet one of the most beautiful.

7. Marissa Meyer

Okay, I've known Marissa Meyer for years, but I just got the chance to read her Lunar Chronicles series this year (and still haven't finished it yet)

8. Katharine McGee

Another debut! I actually have conflicted feelings for this book, but still like it and curious enough to read the second book!

9. Jodi Meadows, Cynthia Hand, and Brodi Ashton

Actually it's 3 authors, but since they're all new to me and I only read My Lady Jane, I felt like cheating if I say it's 3 authors xD Anyway, My Lady Jane was really funny and comical, and I can't wait for the other books about the other Janes!

10. Cindy Anstey

If you love historical fiction that has a little bit espionage and a lot of romance, try this book. It was really adorable!

Have you read any of these books? Also don't forget to leave your TTT post in the comment so I could check it out!

  1. I own the Six of Crows books but haven't managed to read them yet. They're definitely high on my TBR, though. Same goes with Tell Me Three Things - I just got that one really recently. I'm a big fan of Aveyard, Niven, Meyer and Meadows (though I haven't read Lady Jane yet---need to do that).

  3. I don't think I have read books by any of these authors! (shame!) But I definitely want to in 2017. especially Jennifer Niven's " All The Bright Places" I got like five pages in and then lost track of time and had to return it to the library. Library problems!
