Ketterdam: a bustling hub of international trade where anything can be had for the right price—and no one knows that better than criminal prodigy Kaz Brekker. Kaz is offered a chance at a deadly heist that could make him rich beyond his wildest dreams. But he can't pull it off alone...

A convict with a thirst for revenge.

A sharpshooter who can't walk away from a wager.

A runaway with a privileged past.

A spy known as the Wraith.

A Heartrender using her magic to survive the slums.

A thief with a gift for unlikely escapes.

Kaz's crew are the only ones who might stand between the world and destruction—if they don't kill each other first.

Six of Crows, undoubtedly, was one of the most-hyped books in 2015. Everyone seems to read it and love it. Since I have read many positive reviews, I have a pretty high expectations for this book, and I'm so happy to say that Leigh Bardugo manage to reach my ridiculously high expectations!

As you may know, there are 6 characters from this book. Since I love talking about characters, I'm going to describe every single one of them :
1) Kaz Brekker
He's basically the gang's leader, and also both evil and genius mastermind. Seriously, he seems to have plans for everything, and his plans are always surprising. He's also has a dark and complicated past--which we know about it through flashbacks--that makes me want to hug him.

2) Inej Ghafa
I really, really admire her! Her nickname is the Wraith, since she could walk without sound and could climb in any wall. Inej also Kaz's right-hand and most trusted person (and also Kaz's crush). Like Kaz, she also has a troubled past (basically everyone in this book has a troubling past, to be honest).

3) Nina Zenik
I also adore Nina! She's that kind of person who's sarcastic and could make jokes even if the situation is bad. Nina is also a Heartrender.

4) Matthias Helvar
Matthias is well, the big grumpy in this gang. He's a former Fjerdan druskelle (which job is to hunt Grisha, because they really really hate Grisha). He seems to be many people's least favorite characters, but to me, he's actually quite interesting, especially because of his 'relationship' with Nina.

5) Jesper Fahey
Also knows as the clown and the gambler in this gang. He also likes to make jokes in desperate moments, but his jokes are different from Nina's. Also, he has some secrets that I didn't expect at all.

6) Wylan
I don't want to give anything away, so I'll just leave Wylan's surname out. He's really different from the rest of the gang--and yet not that different--since he have a troubled but privileged past. We didn't get his POV in this book so there's not much to tell right now, but I hope he gets one in the second book.

So basically, after my long-ass-rant about the character, all I want to say is I like every single one of them. They are all have an important role in this book that can't be replaced with anyone else. The plot itself really hooked me up. Seriously, everytime you flip the page, it's like there's always a surprise. And while there's many flashbacks which usually I dislike, not this time. The flashbacks are engaging and interesting and important for the plot.

I also want to talk about the romance. As you probably have heard, there are 3 romances in this book, and I ship the first two, but still don't know about the third. The first ships is Kaz and Inej. Okay, they're probably the strangest ship I've ever ship. Both Kaz and Inej are serious person, and since Kaz has enemies literally everywhere, he couldn't just get a girlfriend because that'll made his enemies know his weakness. Inej also isn't exactly looking for boyfriend, either. And yet, I still ship them because their chemistry is obvious and strong. As for Matthias and Nina, well, I freakin ship them like crazy. Seriously, I really really really ship these two so hard. Nina and Matthias have a history before the event in this book (which is told from flashbacks). Basically, they have this I-hate-you-but-I-love-you-too relationship in this book. Since Matthias is a Fjerdan druskelle--and a loyal one, might I add--and Nina is a Grisha, they weren't supposed to be together. But just like the song, the heart wants what it want, so their chemistry in this book is just bam! If I have to choose, Matthias and Nina were my favorite ship. The third ship is obviously Jasper and Wylan. Like I said, I'm still not sure about them. They have a good bromance thingy, but an actual romance? Not really. That's why I hope we get to see more of them in book two.

Overall, Six of Crows manage to outreach my expectations, and I desperately need Crooked Kingdom. You probably has heard this sentence many times, but if you haven't read this book, go pick a copy and read it immediately!
