Ten Books With Characters That Love Arts

Top Ten Tuesday is a feature hosted by the Broke and the Bookish

Some of you probably know that I'm a sucker for everything art-related. I love arts from music to drawing to dancing, eventhough I can do neither. That's why I'm going to list ten books with characters that love arts.

Bex, the MC, is a cadaver drawer (I don't know there's such thing until now), while her love interest, Jack, is a graffiti artist. Eventhough I haven't finished it, I could tell you that it's going to be one of my favorite!

2. Graffiti Moon by Cath Crowley
Haven't read this one, but I love the cover! Also, this book got tons of praise so I'd like to try it.

3. If I Stay by Gayle Forman
The MC, Mia, is a cellist that's about to go to Julliard before the accident that put her into coma.

4. Maybe Someday by Colleen Hoover
Sydney's love interest, Ridge is a deaf singer-songwriter-guitarist (seriously, he's that talented).

5. The Hit List by Nikki Urang
You could probably guess from the cover that it's about dancing. The MC, Sadie, is a dancer that got paired to dance with the school's womanizer, Luke in the Fall Showcase.

6. The Trouble with Flirting by Claire Lazebnik
A retelling of Mansfield Park by Jane Austen, Franny is a girl who wants to join a theater program.

7. City of Bones by Cassandra Clare
Both Clary and her mother is a painter.

8. The Winner's Curse by Marie Rutkoski
Kestrel and her mother (although only mentioned) are a talented pianist.

9. The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins
Many of you already know this, but if you didn't know, Peeta is a painter.

10. The Last Song by Nicholas Sparks
I actually didn't remember about Ronnie (the MC), but I do remember that her father is a talented pianist and teaches about it.

There must be a lot of books with characters that love arts, so if you know one, you can tell me in the comment. Also, don't forget to share your TTT!

  4. This is an awesome list! Definitely love books that are influenced by the arts (mainly because I am a dancer and a musical theater geek). I really wanna check out The Hit List now! :)
